May Madness Continues With New $100,000 In Contributions – Following The Money Key To 58th Assembly District Race

by: Leo Briones

Downey, CA–  Another day of May Madness is happening in the 58th Assembly District.  Late contributions were reported to the California of Secretary of State’s Office by Working Californians Against Corruption Super PAC showing that they have received 2 contributions totaling $100,000 in less than 24 hours.  These two contributions are the sixth and seventh major contribution by the California Building Trades in less than a week and continues to demonstrate the obscene flow of money from one special interest group that is flooding into this election.

Since April 30, 2018 the State Building and Construction Trades Council front group, Working Californians Against Corruption has received $300,000 in contributions from different Building Trades Unions for the sole purpose to attack one woman in the State Assembly.  This brings the total commitment of union member money to the Working Californians Against Corruption at a staggering $400,000.

The question that must be asked is what is the real reason for this attack by one specific special interest group on Assemblywoman Garcia?
